Ayurveda pays close attention to routine, or dinacharya. Much of its everyday advice on digestion is about rhythm rather than restriction — when you eat, how you eat, and what you do afterwards.
Keep meal times regular
Eating at roughly the same times each day is one of the simplest habits to adopt, and one of the first to disappear during a busy week. Regularity matters more here than any single food.
Let the previous meal finish
Classical routine favours eating when the last meal has settled rather than grazing through the day. In practice that usually means a proper gap between meals, and a lighter evening meal than afternoon one.
Warm water over cold
Warm or room-temperature water with meals is traditionally preferred to very cold drinks. It is an easy swap and costs nothing.
Eat without a screen
Slower, unhurried meals are a recurring theme in Ayurvedic routine. Chewing well and setting the phone aside takes no extra time, and it changes how much you eat without you counting anything.
Walk after dinner
A short, gentle walk after the evening meal is an old habit worth keeping — ten minutes is enough, and it is more pleasant than it sounds.
Sleep on a settled stomach
Ayurveda places the evening meal well before bed. If that is not possible on a given night, keep it light.
Traditional preparations
Alongside routine, Ayurveda uses classical preparations such as churnas and herbal juices. Our range includes Churn Amrit, Trifla DS Ras and Udhar Sudha Syrup, each made to traditional formulations. If you have an ongoing health condition or take regular medication, speak to a qualified practitioner or your doctor before adding anything new.
